Greenstone on Fifth is a 202-unit apartment community serving low-income and low-wealth families. The once dated buildings occupy a desirable property close to downtown Charlottesville, the University of Virginia, and public transportation.

The new community resource centers serves as not only a gathering place and business center, but also as a focal point for the newly renovated complex. The property entrance was reconfigured to direct residents and visitors to the center — which houses the leasing office, a clubhouse, and other amenities. An extensive interior and exterior renovation improved not only the look of the complex, but also its functionality. 21 apartments were updated to 100% accessibility, and the project earned EarthCraftt™  certification with a 50% improvement in energy efficiency.
