INTEGRITY THROUGH TRANSPARENCY

The Federation of Appalachian Housing Enterprises (FAHE) hoped ints new headquarters would embody the organization’s commitment to funding affordable, energy-efficient housing.

Through a rigorous charrette process, FAHE stakeholders defined and prioritized the organization’s values relative to the project. Those principles served as a rubric to inform decisions about materials, space planning, and the budget. The final product not only has the permanence and scale of a trusted financial institution, but also celebrates the region’s heritage of agriculture and craftsmanship.
